Hannah thinks that this might be the stupidest idea that she’s ever had. Considering how Grace has pretty much just said that she’d kill Hannah if she tried to speak to Grace again, and that’s exactly what she’s planning on doing. But whatever, Hannah tries to think of the positive side to every situation. (At least if Grace does follow through with her threat to murder Hannah, then she won’t have to dry heave her way through another portion of prison mashed potato.)
Besides, what is life without a little risk-taking?
It’s with this thought that Hannah knows that prison has changed her. She’s always been a careful and calculated person. Taking risks isn’t in her nature. Yet here she goes.
The woman stops as Hannah calls out to her.
“Hart. What do you want?”
“It’s O’Reilly, isn’t it?” asks Hannah, and the woman nods. Hannah beckons her out of the dining hall and around a corner to a deserted corridor. “You’ve got the late shift in the laundry tonight, right? You and Helbig?”
